In 2010 a new regulatory regime took effect and founder Darvin Zurfluh made the decision to apply for an Exempt Market Dealer Registration with the intentions of going national. A leading marketing firm was engaged to find a new brand that would build on the momentum as this alternative investment dealer established roots across the nation. Pinnacle Wealth Brokers Inc. was formed.
Excellent research has always been a key to being successful in the private investment market. Knowing this, Pinnacle Wealth Brokers made a deal to acquire Exempt Analyst, the top exempt market research firm in the country, in the fall of 2011.
There was an opportunity to merge with the well-established Global Exempt Market Solutions shortly afterwards; creating one of the largest independent exempt market dealer in Canada. Being one of the largest allowed Pinnacle Wealth Brokers the opportunity to provide more services, gain efficiencies, and have coast-to-coast representation in the Canadian market.
